Obituary of Michael J. Sarullo
Michael J. Sarullo, 85, of Brick, passed away, Saturday, September 1, 2012 at home.
Born in Elizabeth, to the late Joseph & Mary Sarullo, he was formerly of Rahway and Point Pleasant and has lived in Brick for the past seven years.
He was a United States Navy, World War II, veteran and then entered the United States Air Force Reserves and was honorably discharged as a Colonel.
Mr. Sarullo was a retired electrical engineer from Bell Labs, Piscataway, and was also a volunteer AARP income tax preparer.
He was a communicant of Saint Peter Parish, Point Pleasant Beach.
His beloved wife, Margarete, predeceased him in 1997.
Surviving are three daughters, Marie Leone and her husband Thomas of Brick, Nancy Quinn and her husband Donald of Howell, and Joann Brendler and her husband Keith of Toms River; three brothers, Joseph & Stephen Sarullo, and Robert Wheelan; one sister, Gerolma Miragliotta; eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 5, at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 6, Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Peter Church, Point Pleasant Beach, followed by interment at Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
