I am sorry to learn of Senor Repsher’s passing. 4 years of Spanish with him and I can still hold my own when out of the country. He was so tough and I learned so much. He was truly a great teacher and had a nice way about it. Vaya Con Dios

I remember Senor Repsher with such fondness..and a little terror. He was my Spanish teacher in 1964 and 65. You didn’t get into his classroom without saying “Con su permiso” and your skirt had better be below the knee..I used to roll it up before and after his class. He was strict but also funny. He would know if someone was chewing gum out of the whole auditorium. That was his pet peeve..that and flies. He actually climbed on chairs and desks chasing a fly with a swatter/newspaper. In the class, we had no books for a couple months..we just learned dialogues, having no idea what we were saying. Then he said to try to write what we were saying. Then the books so that we could see it in print. It must have been a very effective technique because I still remember the dialogues. I pray that his family and friends feel the peace and comfort of God.
Vaya con Dios,Senor Repsher.

I’m very sorry to hear of the passing of EL Senor. I had him at PPBHS for 4 years. He was the toughest teacher I had and I learned Spanish so well that I went back years later to personally thank him.
In 1979 my dream was to be a flight attendant. I applied to All of the airlines that had no second language requirement as well as my #1 choice.. Pan Am. Not sure how after graduating 4 years prior my Spanish would be I went into N.Y. for my interview and after the interview sat with a Spanish interviewer for my verbal test. I passed and was hired that day! My dream to fly for Pan American World Airways was finally coming true..
I went back to speak to some of the Spanish classes in the early 80s and of course thanked El Senor for giving me my dream career.
I would be tested every year.. remembered enough still to be language qualified in 1991 when I went to Delta..
stopped flying in 1997 but I always thanked him for what he did for me., I just wanted you all to know taking his class and knowing him changed my life..
RIP El Senor. ✈️

So very sorry to hear this. He was a good and caring man and an excellent teacher. He was my Spanish teacher in 1967 and 1968, and when I went to college, I was more than prepared. He always had a way of making us laugh. My sympathies to his family. Mr. Repsher, Rest In Peace! Brisa Borrelli

My most sincere condolences to the family. I was lucky to have had Mr Repsher as my Spanish teacher in High School, he was an inspiration. He was one of my favorite teachers and I am sure I drove him a little crazy.
Puede el descansar en paz
