Obituary of Carlton V. Harz, Jr.
Carlton V. Harz, Jr., 87, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Monday, October 22, 2018.
Born in Bayonne to the late Carlton V., Sr. and Myrtle Harz, he lived there and in Jersey City and for many years in Wyckoff, moving to Point Pleasant in 1980.
Carl worked as a truck driver for thirty years and retired from the I.B.O. Teamsters.
He was a veteran of the United States Army; member of Peninsula Lodge No. 99, F.& A.M., Bayonne; and was an avid fisherman.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rosemarie Migliore Harz; son, Carlton Harz; grandson, Keith Andersen; sister, Marilyn Rose; and great-grandson, Dominic.
Surviving are his son, Charles Harz of Nanuet, NY, three daughters, Linda Andersen of Midland Park, Robyn Goris of Grieg, NY; and Lisa VanderMaas of Manchester. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Carl, Melissa, Kara, Angela, Travis, Matthew, Jesse, Vincent, and Nicholas; and great-grandchildren, Hayley, Hunter, Antonio, Gabriella, Giana, Mabel, Mikel, Mason, Maddox, and Oliver.
Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m., Thursday, October 25 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 6:30 p.m. a Masonic Service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations made, in his memory, to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
