Obituary of Harry Selzam
Harry Selzam, 94, of Brick, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at his home.
Born in Roselle Park, he was the youngest of six children born to the late Andreas and Catharina Selzam. He lived there and for twenty-nine years in Point Pleasant before moving to Brick thirty-five years ago.
Harry was retired from Exxon, Bayway, where he worked for thirty-seven years.
He was a United States Army, World War II veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart. He enjoyed bowling, shuffleboard, and golf.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, of over sixty-one years, Margaret (Zimmermann) Selzam; brothers, John and Andrew; and sisters, Agnes, Sophie, and Katherine.
Surviving are three daughters, Susan Clayton and husband Bruce of Brick, Patricia Carrow and husband Robert of Point Pleasant, and Judith Malfa of Brick; and one son, Robert Selzam and wife Janet of Jackson. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Teri, Ryan, Sandi, Jessi, Brett, Mark, Katie, Elizabeth, and Emily; and thirteen great-grandchildren, Kyle, Alexis, Kiersten, Nathan, Margo, Riley, Jared, Elise, Megan, Sarah, Lukas, Harley, and Myles.
Services will be held privately.
