So sorry to learn of your loss Jen. You and the boys are in my thoughts. He was much too young. I know your mother is feeling the loss.

We enjoyed knowing Rod. He was the husband of our niece, a good father and a kind genteel person. He was nice to everybody and rarely spoke of himself though he was very accomplished in his dedication to his family.
Rod was a sailor and a sailor’s mantra is “Ship, Shipmate, Self”, in that order and it carryovers when he returns home to his community and family. Each of us owes him gratitude for his service and his voluntary contribution to our comfort, safety and freedom.
We will miss him. Our hearts and prayers go out to his wife Jennifer, sons Teddy (Edward) and Rodney III, and his family.
(my apologies for the wrong name earlier)

I will miss Rod so much as my next door neighbor. His voice was special to listen to from playing basketball in the street, & throwing the football to his sons. There were many nights I played cards with Rod & Jen with much laughter. We had many conversations on my front porch & Jen & Rod's front steps.Rod taught me how to play frets with patience on my guitar. He will always be in my heart. I promise to his memory I will be present in Jen's, Teddy, Roddy, & Mom's life. I will do everything I can for this special family.

Karen and Rod, I'm so sorry for your loss-it broke my heart to hear about Roddys passing. I haven't seen all of you for years, probably since I used to babysit for Keith, Roddy, Teddy, and Jessica. Having never met Roddy as a grown man, my memory will always be the adorable dark haired little guy with a gleam in his eye. I needed eyes in the back of my head to keep up with him. My love and condolences to his wife Jennifer and sons Rodney, Edward and the family.
