Obituary of Andrew Michael Gilinsky
Andrew Michael Gilinsky, 61, of Point Pleasant, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, June 24, 2017.
Andrew was born on December 10, 1955 to the late Andrew and Annette Gilinsky. He was a lifelong resident of Point Pleasant.
Andy, or as many called him, Mike, was a graduate of St. Rose High School and Glassboro State College with a BA in Criminal Justice. Andy retired from Bristol-Myers Squibb in Princeton where he worked nearly 30 years in Security. He was currently employed, by West-Ward Pharmaceuticals in Eatontown.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing, exploring lighthouses, long walks on the beach and attending the St. Paul's United Methodist Church beach services in Bay Head.
Andy is survived by his loving wife of twelve years, Shirley Tyndale Gilinsky; five children, Marissa Kritzinger and husband Heinrich of Smyrna, DE; David Gilinsky of Edgewood, MD; DanaMarie Haas and husband Nick of Florence, NJ; Shana Huber and her partner Leslie McIntyre of Tucson, AZ; Donald Huber Jr. and wife Marissa of Parlin, NJ; and four grandchildren, Jaime, Chloe, Nate, and Ben. Also surviving are his sister, Barbara; Uncle Henry, several cousins, a niece, former wife, Jody Youll; and many close friends.
A "Celebration of Life" service will be held on Monday, July 10 at 11 am at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 423 West Lake Avenue, Bay Head, NJ, at the corner of Bridge and West Lake Avenues.
