Obituary of Margaret A. Nagle
Mrs. Margaret A. Nagle (Margo)
Point Pleasant
April 27, 1922 - July 16, 2012
Margaret died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. While growing up Margo was very active in Girl Scouts and horseback riding. She was a 1940 graduate of Nutley High. In 1944 she joined the US Cadet Nurse Corps at the Naval Hospital in Port Smith, West Virginia. Margo continued her love of nursing at St. Barnabas Hospital in Newark, earning her RN degree in 1946. In 1948 Margo married the love of her life, George E. Nagle. They proceed to have their three beloved children Louise, Robert and George. While raising her children Margo was a substitute school nurse and a classroom volunteer in the Point Pleasant School District. As a World Book Encyclopedia sales rep she would donate her profit to the families purchase. She generously donated her bonus encyclopedia sets to schools, libraries and families. Margo was very involved in her children's activities in sports, scouts and the Point Legion Cadets Jr. Drum and Bugle Corps.
Margo enjoyed golfing, gardening, shopping, cruising around the world on the QE-2 and spending time with her family during their yearly trip to the Ringling Brothers Circus and cheering on her grandchildren during their many activities.
Margo was a quick witted woman with a kind and humble heart, who was loved and remembered by all she met. A special thank you to Ocean Medical Center, Meridian Hospice Care and Dr. DeMartin for their excellent care.
She is preceded by her parents, Margaret and Lyman Nichols and beloved husband George. Surviving are her children: Louise Muth, Robert (Debra), George (Barbara).
